Chapter 7
African traditional weddings are elaborate affairs. It's not about the couple, but more of a celebration of two families becoming one. Paying lobola (dowry) in a form of cows or money is an act of giving thanks to the brides family and not selling the bride away as most westernised africans have viewed the act to be. They are very entertaining.
Here is my interpretation of marriage, where traditional elements meet modern furniture, resulting in what you see below.
