When we talk about wearable art international names like Issey Miyake and Alexander Mcqueen come to mind. Have you ever thought of looking closer to home? Well, Loayo Art & Creations is one brand which is designed and manufactured and I quote, "with love, passion and inspiration", in South Africa.

The brand was established in 2014 by Loayo the founder and designer who is based in Johannesburg. She fuses the world of fine art and fashion seamlessly. She uses her own original artwork prints to make her colourful garments. The brand's philosophy is based on happiness, vibrancy, innovation and creativity, that is clear and evident in her clothing.

Every detail is made with care, bringing out its own original story filled with, what I call, sophisticated happiness. Below is a link of her SS17 runway show at the South African Fashion Week.
