I made a gift for a dear friend of mine. She had been through a tough time and I wanted to celebrate her victory by giving her something that had meaning, which she could cherish. A crochet blanket.

I let my work speak on my behalf, but this time the words had to come from the heart. In presenting the gift, I pointed to each colour and said, "No matter when the sky's are grey with thick thunderous clouds or when the sky is blue with white puffy clouds, just know that there is always a bright yellow sunshine."

This project made me realise that there are two things that define people. It's their patience when they have nothing and their attitude when they have something. Believe good things happen and they do.
